Windows XP is out, will Linux be in now?
Microsoft has recently stopped all support to its most successful operating system i.e. Windows Xp. There are approximately 28% of computers, ATM's and other systems are there on earth which are still running on windows Xp. Now the big question is what should we do, should we buy a new license from Microsoft for its latest Operating system or we think for some alternatives of Microsoft windows. This question is really really difficult to answer and totally
depends on user. Today we will try to understand what we should consider before a new purchase.

Linux can be better solution for your answer, in last few years what I am observing from last approx 7 - 8 years, Linux operating system has been changed drastically. For example, approx 7 years back configuring a DSL connection on your Linux desktop takes around 30 minutes to work for a normal home user but now its takes less then 2 minutes to configure. In old days Linux was maximum command based but latest versions are much friendly in GUI mode as well as on command mode. There are 100's of desktop version available free to download and use for lifetime.
Because of being free to use, opensource and community driven support, Linux operating system is getting more and more popular these days. Linux operating system has alternative applications of almost each software being used on windows. For example if you work on Microsoft word and Microsoft excel on daily basis there there are free alternatives on Linus are available, popular of them are Open Office and Libre Office which have most of the features and very popular. If you use Photoshop and coreldraw then inkscape and gimp can be used in linux for the same.
Ubuntu is one of the popular Linus version for desktops. Its current stable version is Ubuntu 12.04 LTS (supported till April 2017) and it has released its latest stable version Ubuntu 14.04 LTS (Trusty Tahr) which will be supported till April, 2019 and also free of cost. Its desktop interface is much better and even being a newbie it will not take more time to understand to use it. Also it is possible to install windows application in Linux using wine (windows application installer for linux). There are lot of Linux versions available whose details can easily be searched over google.
Now you have to what you have to do, for me I have switch to Linux and using it for maximum of my tasks. For me and also for you how much time we will spend over new operating system that much we will understand that. Just take 5 minutes from your busy schedule, think about it and decide.
Good day...
